East Coast Bowl Names Hyatt Place as Host Hotel

The East Coast Bowl Committee has inked a deal to make Hyatt-Place in Chester, VA the host hotel for the eighth annual game.

    The Hyatt-Place is in an ideal location being situated directly between the testing site in Richmond, Richmond International Airport, and Historic Cameron Field in Petersburg where the game takes place. With numerous restaurants and shops near the hotel, the players as well as their families will find it easy to fill down time. Director of Operations, Kevin Booker stated, “The Hyatt-Place did a great job last year hosting the game which played a big part in us returning for a second year. Players, scouts, and coaches alike will enjoy the accommodations at this hotel”.

The East Coast Bowl game has quickly become the Thanksgiving tradition in Petersburg, VA and will be played Saturday, November 28th at 12 noon, The Committee will gather nominations from schools in just about all 50 states, which will be narrowed down to the top 75 Division I-FCS, II, III and NAIA athletes. Players will report to Petersburg the day before Thanksgiving and spend the holiday doing various community visits as well as practice sessions for NFL scouts. The game itself is set-up as a scholarship event, with all of the revenue generated going into a fund for a local high school senior who plans on attending a Division I-FCS, II or III college.
