East Coast Bowl Announces Coaching Staff
PETERSBURG, VA- The East Coast Bowl Committee has selected the Richmond Revolution coaching staff, of the Indoor Football League to coach this year’s all-star game. The Revolution is the area’s new indoor professional football team.
Head Coach Steve Criswell will be this year’s game coordinator. Leading the South team will be Brent Williams, assisted by John Trott and Brian Edmonds. Coaching the North team will be Billy Jarvis, assisted by Tim Jones and Mike McIntire.
The coaching staff has connections to the tri-city area as, Jarvis, Criswell, and Trott coached at Petersburg High School. Coach Williams and other staff members coached the Richmond Speed and Brian Edmonds was a former Virginia Tech standout.
The East Coast Bowl game has quickly become the Thanksgiving tradition in Petersburg, VA and will be played Saturday, November 28th at 12 noon, The Committee will gather nominations from schools in just about all 50 states, which will be narrowed down to the top 75 Division I-FCS, II, III and NAIA athletes.
Players will report to Petersburg the day before Thanksgiving and spend the holiday doing various community visits as well as practice sessions for NFL scouts. The game itself is set-up as a scholarship event, with all of the revenue generated going into a fund for a local high school senior who plans on attending a Division I-FCS, II or III college.
