East Coast Bowl Continues With Roster Additions

Petersburg, VA - The East Coast Bowl Committee is pleased to announce three (3) student-athletes that have committed to playing in the 7th Annual East Coast Bowl.

Marcus Brown, 6’0 180, is a corner back from the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) and currently leads the Keydets in passes defended (8). Brown, from Norfolk, VA, has been a mainstay in the VMI defense and aside from leading the team in passed defended, he also ranks third in tackles.

Piotr Czech, 6’5 210, is a kicker/punter from Wagner College in New York and he will leave the program as one of the best in history. Czech, from Keyport, NJ, has twice connected on a 54-yard field goal and this year hit a career long of 56 yards. Czech, a 1st team NEC kicker, has worked hard to improve his punting and is averaging over 40 yards per punt for the first time as a Seahawk.

Tywain Myles, 6’2 305, is a defensive tackle from Tarleton State in Texas and he finished the season with a team high in sacks (6) and tackles for loss (11). Myles, from Nacogdoches, TX, is the reigning defensive lineman of the year in the Lone Star Conference South Division and his performance this year only solidified that title.

The East Coast Bowl game has quickly become the Thanksgiving tradition in Petersburg, VA and will be played Saturday, November 24th at 12 noon, The Committee will gather nominations from schools in just about all 50 states, which will be narrowed down to the top 75 Division I-FCS, II, III and NAIA athletes. Players will report to Petersburg the day before Thanksgiving and spend the holiday doing various community visits as well as practice sessions for NFL scouts. The game itself is set-up as a scholarship event, with all of the revenue generated going into a fund for a local high school senior who plans on attending a Division I-FCS, II or III college.
