Generals in Search of ‘Idol’

 Petersburg, VA – The Petersburg Generals will be having the first Petersburg Generals Idol contest during the 2008 season.

Any singers wishing to participate need to fill out an application, and submit it to the Petersburg Generals front office. The deadline for all applications is Saturday, May 10, 2008. All eligible contestants will perform at Generals home games throughout the season until one person is named the first Petersburg Generals Idol.

The contest will go on until there are three contestants remaining, and those contestants will perform at the finale, which will take place mid-July. The first place winner will be determined by crowd response, and will receive the grand prize.

Do you think you have what it takes to be the Petersburg Generals’ first Idol? Contestants must be over the age of 15, and a resident of Virginia.
